I am a 1991 graduate of Scotland High School. From there I attended  college at Mount Marty college where I received a Business Administration degree and played baseball for the Lancers.  In 1998 I decided I wanted a career change, so I moved to Madison, SD and attended Dakota State University. At DSU I received a B.S. in Elementary Education and endorsements in Middle School and k-12 Computers. While I was there I was an assistant baseball coach for the Trojan Baseball Team for 2 years.

While attending Dakota State I met my future wife, Jennifer Pieper, who was also in Elementary Education.  Jen and I are know teaching for the Tripp-Delmont School District.
